Leo (Latin, English, Dutch)

My name is Leo Tepper. I hold a MA in Classics and a MA in Theology from Groningen University, with minors in Sanskrit and Old Gemanic languages. I have a long experience in teaching classics, both in the classroom and on one to one level.

Students find it often difficult to cope with the syntax of Latin. No wonder, the texts are not composed in spoken language, but are highly literary. No Roman would in real life have spoken sentences as long and complicated as Livy or Caesar wrote, when addressing his or her lover and neither did they burst out in hexameters when buying bread and wine at the taberna.

My aim is to help you with your translations and make you more confident handling a text. Really, Latin can be fun!
